Our Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship

Wellbeing for Education is part of TPC Health who are one of the leading coaching and wellbeing organisations in the UK specialising in enabling public-service organisations to flourish through evidence-based coaching and community support.  
 
With the ever-increasing pressure on our educational systems, the effective deployment of coaching and wellbeing interventions is transforming the sector and revolutionising the way in which education services are delivered.
 

Wellbeing For Education can now partner with you to deliver a funded development programme for people in wellbeing roles, community liaison roles, coaching-oriented roles and/or safeguarding roles, this programme provides a practical, funded way to strengthen skills, support progression and help staff grow. 

This programme is designed for schools, colleges, trusts and education providers employing people who support wellbeing, build trusted relationships, work alongside families and communities, coach and motivate others, and help respond to safeguarding, inclusion and early help needs.

 Roles

 Some of the roles benefiting from this apprenticeship include:

  • Pastoral, SEND & Inclusion Leads – driving culture, wellbeing and equity
  • Staff Mentors & Wellbeing Leads – supporting staff development and resilience
  • Behaviour, Attendance & Safeguarding Officers – holding solution-focused conversations
    with stakeholders
  • Community Liaison Roles – supporting families, parents and working with local communities
    and partnerships

Topics Covered

  • Wellbeing, inclusion and barriers to engagement: Understanding the factors that influence
    attendance, participation, relationships, resilience and educational engagement.
  • Coaching and behaviour change: Practical approaches to motivation, goal-setting, self-
    management and meaningful conversations.
  • Community liaison and trusted relationships: How to work relationally with children, young
    people, families and communities in ways that build trust and confidence.
  • Navigation, signposting and partnership working: Helping people access the right support,
    strengthen connections and make use of school, community and specialist services.
  • Inclusive, safe and ethical practice: Safeguarding, boundaries, confidentiality, cultural awareness and data protection.
  • Applied practice: Embedding learning in real work, with practical application, reflection and supported development.

Optional coaching accreditation

Wellbeing in Education and TPC Health are coaching-based organisations, and therefore a coaching approach runs throughout the programme. Learners who wish to do so will also have the opportunity to work towards an EMCC EQA Practitioner Level Coaching Award, subject to meeting the relevant requirements and any separate registration arrangements.
